My Trending Stories : Members and Target Market

My Trending Stories is growing at an exponential rate. There are currently 10,000 Contributors and creatives on My Trending Stories

A content or video contributor is a user who has sufficient privileges to add items to a page. MytrendingStories automatically have full contributor privileges on any page they own.

There are two contributor levels:

Manage Content: Contributors with this privilege can add new content to the page and edit and delete any content on the page.
Manage Items With Approval: Contributors with this privilege can add items to the page or edit any existing items. However, added or edited items are not published (that is, they are not displayed to other users) until they are approved. Approvers are content reviewers identified in an approval process defined by the page owner or the page group administrator. Contributors can track items waiting for approval through the My Approval Status portlet. Such users can also personalize pages on which they have the privilege on Website.

There are several features put in place to maximize the user and member experience on My Trending Stories.

Follower system

Creatives can have other members and users of the My Trending Stories community follow them.They can also directly invite friends through Facebook and email to sign up as users to follow them.

Trending Section

The most popular articles with the most views are displayed within the trending section.

“Like” button

My Trending Stories users and members (authors, vloggers, photographers) can “like” their favorite articles

Comment Sections

Users can comment on articles directly through their My Trending Stories user profile. Non- users can also comment through Facebook comment.

Inbox system

My Trending Stories can send instant messages to all members through the inbox system.

Author Bio

Each author has their own profile page, where they can add an author description and avatar. Underneath their profile a history of all their articles and videos published on My Trending Stories can be found.

Author Newsfeed
A customized newsfeed for users or members, based on the authors that they follow appear at the top of their homepage when logged in.
